1) Work Pants That Feel Like Sweat Pants
As you may have read in my Instabio, I do a little side-hustle for J.Crew. This gig gets me some awesome discounts – and J.Crew is my favorite place to shop for basics. I got the Easy Pant in navy and black, and the Cameron Pant in four-season stretch gray. You guys – they are truly wonderful. I am weirdly happy to get dressed in the morning now. AND I’m super comfy sitting at my desk all day! Puts the casual in business casual.
2) A Push-Up Bra For My Scalp
I’ve heard that your hair totally changes texture every 7 years. Has anyone else heard of such a thing? My hair had always been very thick and full, and during a phase in high school it got pretty wavy. But now, it’s weirdly thinning, and I hate it. My hair slicks flat down on my scalp UNLESS I use Big Sexy Hair Root Pump Volumizing Spray Mousse. It really adds fullness to my roots and doesn’t “fall flat.” And it works well with dry shampoo if you’re a next-day hair kinda gal like I am.
I haven’t done a lot with subscription boxes. I joined some organic one when I went through my chemical-free beauty phase (for those thinking about it: EVERYTHING has unnatural chemicals in it. EVERYTHING.), but that only lasted a month or so. Birchbox and I went pretty steady for about a year, until they sent me the fifth shampoo and conditioner sample after I told them five separate times that I did not want shampoo or conditioner. You see, I’m very brand-loyal to my one true love, SheaMoisture.
I’ve accepted the opportunity, though, to partner with FabFitFun’s subscription box, and I’m pretty stoked about it!
The quick fill-in: FabFitFun = seasonal subscription box = 4 boxes per year = $50 per box = skincare, haircare, fitness, jewelry, and other “lifestyle” stuff
I got to preview everything in the box before I signed up, and I was totally in love with its offerings. I’m not being salesy when I say the deal is pretty amazing. Example: The first item on the list, the Kate Somerville ExfoliKate face scrub, alone, costs more than the box itself. FabFitFun lists ExfoliKate at a $75 value (you’re paying $50 for the box). I double-checked with Sephora just to make sure FFF wasn’t just yankin’ my chain – and Sephora, at the same 2 oz size, actually asks $85 a pop. Yeeeeah. Sephora, Imma letchu finish, but FabFitFun has the greatest video – I mean, prices.
Use the code YAY at checkout to get an extra $20 off – meaning you’re actually only paying $30 for like $400 worth of sh!t. Yay indeed. Use this link so they know viperheart sent you.
